So, at a meeting with the management of the WRAP company, the parties agreed to prepare enterprises for WRAP certification and conduct training for them on March 27, 2023. The presence of such a certificate from the company makes it possible to expand cooperation with American brands and participate in the international Magic Trade Show from August 7-9, 2023, which will serve as a PR for their textile products on the American market, as well as open a unique opportunity for the exchange of experience between leading entrepreneurs in educational seminars, special internal networking events.
At a meeting with Eurofins Scientific SE, a French group of laboratories providing testing services for textile industry products, an agreement was reached to include Uzbekistan in the concept of ZDHC (Zero Emission Program for Hazardous Chemicals), as well as to consider the possibility of opening their laboratory in the republic.
At a regular meeting with Matthew Dwell, Director of Product Impact and Innovation of the American brand Patagonia, the American side expressed interest in the textile industry of Uzbekistan, especially manufacturers of outerwear.
It is worth noting here that in order for enterprises to enter the American market and work with the brand, it is important to pay attention to due diligence to promote and maintain fair labor practices and safe working conditions in factories, factories for the production of finished products, as well as cotton fields of suppliers must have certificates such as NSF – Advanced Global Standard of Origin Tracking, GOTS – The global standard for organic textiles, OCS – The Standard for organic content and Fair Trade, which guarantees product safety. The brand itself adheres to the Supplier Code of Conduct, which is based on the labor standards of the International Labor Organization (ILO).
